I've beenusing the Tech Comm Suite with Frame 9 and Acrobat 9.5 for years, and suddenly cannot create a pdf of a frame doc. The ps file is empty. This is happening to a colleague using the same suite across the country. Any suggestions? Please help!

What method are you using to create the PDF. SaveAsPDF or Printing the Book

    to the logical printer?

And if you've only used one, what happens when you try the second?

And how/why is a PS file being generated at all? Either method should

distill the PDF automatically and remove the temporary files?

Thank you, Art. We have always printed the book to a .ps file, and then used Acrobat Distiller to create the PDF. When I create the .ps file, it's empty. When I try saving as a .pdf, I lose the styles and other formatting.

    Here is what I do:

    1. Print Book3Select Print to File, give it a .ps extension.

    2. Click Printer Setup.

    3. From the Printer Name field, I select the Adobe PDF printer that we installed.

    4. I select Generate Acrobat Data, and click PDF Setup. I select the PDF settings I use.

    5. I click Print.

Usually I get a good .ps file, and then I right-click it and select Adobe Acrobat Distiller. The file is distilled and I get a good .pdf. All I get now is a 0 kb file.

Does this give any ideas about what might be going wrong? Thanks again for your help.

If this was working before, what’s changed?
