v 7.1 error message on Import

Using FM 7.1, when I try to replace an image with another image using File>Import>File, I get an error message, "cannon specify a dpi setting for the selected graphic."  I get the message when selecting File>Import>File before I ever get to the file choosing dialog.  Any idea where this is coming from and how to correct it?

Thanks.

Dennis

First off, what specific version of 7.1 are you using, as shown in Help > About, the "pxxx" numbers. What platform?

Second question, what are the steps you use to remove the original image? Is the image in an anchored frame, in a table cell, on a master page?

Does creating a new anchored frame and putting an image in it work ok?

Version 7.1 p114, Windows XP Pro.

I did not remove the original image.  I intended to replace it, as I had done in previous instances to other images.  The image is in an anchored frame.

I am able to create a new anchored frame, and insert an image into it.

Incidently, the error message appears immediately upon selecting the second File in File>Import>File.

Is the replacement file the same format as the one you're replacing? It sounds like FM's complaining that a vector graphic is trying to replace a raster and it doesn't know how to scale it.
