Question

Watermark or similar in FrameMaker?

Hi all. I have a portion of text on one page in a book that will change. I need to leave the existing text in place while indicating to the reviewers that the section needs to be updated. What is the best way to do that, i.e., perhaps with a transparent "Needs Updating" watermark that I place over the text section?

Cheers -- John

I'd be tempted to use an Anchored Frame, outside of column, taking up much of the margin, with rotated graphics text. Anchor point could be made conditional.

FM doesn't have watermarks. About as close as it can get is text on a Master Page, and you'd need two (L/R), mapped to some unique content on the page in question, via AMP. Lotta work.

Or you might be able to add a single real WM in post, via Acrobat DC/Pro or similar tool.

Hi Bob. Thx for the response. I'll explore the Anchored Frame
approach later this weekend. For now, I've settled on a simpler but cruder
    "strick-though" of the text.
