Since the end of 2022 i get the following message when starting FM 16 or 17:

We can't verify your subscription status.

We can't reach the Adobe servers. This may be because you're not connected to the internet. Check your connection and try again below. If you're still having issues, please see our connectivity troubleshooting guide.

Of course I’m connected and i could download and install 17.0.1.305 with no problems. This is on  win 10, fully patched.

I have not fiddled around with my Adobe account (otherwise I could not write this) - so what may be the cause of this?

Since i have a perpetual license for FM-15 - which is ma work horse - I’m only unable to be a beta tester…

Correct answer K.Daube

Yesterday I provided some information on the request of tcssup based on the cognition:
IMHO the problem is that I can not get rid of the "Creative Cloud All Apps 100GB" plan. I'm not workin at all with Creative Cloud and this plan might be a 'benefit' automatically received due to the beta testing for FrameMaker: I'm registered with the Adobe Cuommunity Experts.

So today I did this:

  • I had a redeem code for the CC cloud and entered it
  • Then it was possible to cancel the plan, because I really do not use any cloud based services.
  • Now FM-16 and 17 start as expected.

Sometimes it is necessary to ask for help and then the thoughts will go in a positive directions again...

Hi Klaus:

Did you already reach out to tcssup@adobe.com?
