Question

Where are conditional text 'build expressions' stored?

Was working on a doc on a loaner machine. The doc has ample use of conditional text, and 'Show as per Expression' is used to generate the many variants of the doc.

However... there were no expressions in my Expression list. So, I assume that expressions are saved in a file *somewhere*, but don't know which one. (The expressions are all present on my regular machine.)

Can anybody point me in the correct direction?

thanks.

    Any help would be *GREATLY* appreciated so I can see if I can find them somewhere :-(

    I believe the expressions are stored in the .fm file itself

    Here's a snippet from a test file I created and saved as MIF

    <BoolCondCatalog

      <BoolCond

      <BoolCondTag `Conditional Expression'>

      <BoolCondExprName `Default Expression'>

      <BoolCondExpr `"Comment"'>

      <BoolCondState `Inactive'>

    > # end of BoolCond

    > # end of BoolCondCatalog

    If you need to migrate settings to a new doc, use File > Import > Formats to import Conditional Text settings to your new doc.
