Why doesn't my text on master page not showing up on a body page?

I am working on FM 11. I have a "This page intentionally left blank." text box on an anchored from on a master page called Blank Page. When I assign this master page to a body page (Master page usage), the headers and footer show up but my "This page intentionally left blank." text doesn't. How do I correct this?

Correct answer Bob_Niland

Is "This page intentionally left blank." in the main (Flow A) text frame on Master Page "Blank"?

If so, delete it, and put it in a new Background text frame on that page.

Flow A text on MPs does not appear on Body pages.

If you assign a flow tag to the frame on the master page, any text in

the frame will not appear on the body page. So, right-click the frame on

the master page, choose Object Properties, and make sure the Tag field

is blank. This turns the text frame into a background text frame. Text

in a background text frame does show up on body pages.

Another good solution. Thanks!

For various ways to implement TPIB/TPILB, see the 2012 thread:

Page intentionally left blank.

I have a similar blank page text frame but mine is more sarcastic.

This page has been intentionally left blank

but -- now that we’ve stated the obvious --

it isn’t blank any more, is it?

Yes that worked. Thanks! Did I need to first put a graphic frame and then a text frame inside of that?

Nope - the Text Frame tool can draw text frames on MPs, and prompts for the frame type (Background Text is what you want).
