2021 iPad Pro -watercolor Brush glitch

I love the watercolor brushes but they always freeze my screen, I have to restart the program and the file gets corrupted.   When using the brush, it will either freeze my screen or I get a pink glitchy area, and freezes the program and I have to restart. If I close the file and reopen, it is all pink entirely and frozen.  Restarting the program alleviates the freeze but the file is corrupt.  Any ideas?
