AMD Graphics Card Compatibility

Hi, I read that Fresco was released with limited graphics card compatibility, but that you were planning on expanding in the future. That was on a post from 2019. Is there any hope that we may see something soon that will allow users, such as myself, using AMD graphics cards to use Fresco? I'm currently in my free trial of photoshop, but if there's no way for me to use Fresco, I'll just switch over to the Photography plan for half the price.

Hi there,

 

Thanks for reaching out. I request you open the Task Manager, go to Performance > GPU > and check the DirectX version. If it is 12 (FL 12.1), then Adobe Fresco will run on your device. I hope it helps!

For some reason, it doesn't want to show me in the task manager, but when I run the DirectX diagnostic tool, it shows as being 12. However, Adobe Fresco shows as being incompatible with my graphics card.

Thanks for sharing the detail. It seems your graphic card doesn't support the Direct X feature level 12.1. Hence, Fresco is incompatible. You can further verify under DirectX Diagnostic Tool > Display > Feature Levels: 12_1.
