Question

Brush strokes not registering in a horizontal area of the canvas

Hi, I’m having an issue with Adobe Fresco. There is an invisible horizontal area where my brush strokes don’t register properly, as shown in the attached video .

The strange thing is that this area seems to stay fixed in the same position on the screen rather than on the canvas. When I move (pan) the canvas, the location of the dead zone appears on a different part of my drawing because the canvas moves underneath it. For example, if I move the canvas upward, the dead zone affects a lower part of the drawing, and if I move the canvas downward, it affects a higher part.

Has anyone experienced this issue before? Is this a known bug or is there a way to fix it?

    Hi @Coconutbun,

I'm sorry you're experiencing this issue, and thanks for sharing the screen recording.

Could you please confirm your Adobe Fresco version, OS version, and device model? From the recording, it appears you may be using an iPad(please confirm). Also, could you restart your device and test the issue with Pixel, Live, and Vector Brushes, in a new blank document, and with both finger input and your stylus? If you're using a tablet, please rotate the device and check whether the dead zone moves with the screen orientation. Finally, if your work is synced to the cloud (https://adobe.ly/3Yc6OOc), please uninstall Fresco, restart your device, reinstall the app, and let us know if the issue persists.

    Looking forward to your update.

Hi, thank you for your suggestions. I tested the issue as requested. The dead zone appeared with all three brush types (Pixel, Live, and Vector) when using my Joyroom stylus, but it did not appear when using my finger. I also tested in other apps (Notes and Freeform), and the same issue occurred there.

I tried using another stylus, and the issue disappeared completely. It seems the problem is caused by my Joyroom stylus rather than Adobe Fresco.

Thank you for your help. I just wanted to update you with my findings.
