Cannot add text

I'm using Fresco for Windows, and it doesn't give me the option to add text.  The menu bar on the left doesn't have the "T" symbol. It goes right from the Shapes buttom (triangle and circle) to the eyedropper. I feel like I'm missing something obvious, but I can't figure out what it is.
