Color selection issues

I'm having serious issues with my color selections.

Here's my palette at the moment:

Not only are many colors selected at the same time (as the bold outlines indicate), but the one at the far left of the first row is not always the last one to have been used like it's supposed to. Often, random colors become unselectable as well. Worst part is, when I select a color, the one that will be used by the brush is not the one I selected!

I'm on version 5.5.5.
Freshly re-installed.
And it does this on all my drawings.

Thanks in advance!

Hello @ColonelCandy,

Would you mind sharing more details, such as your device's make/model, the OS version installed, and a small screen recording of the problem, so I can check it on my end?

Looking forward to hearing from you.

Hi @Anubhav M ,

I'm using a Microsoft Laptop Studio, Windows 11 version 10.0.26100

Attached is a video of the multiple colors selected at the same time issue. All I did to replicate it was select a color, draw with it, open back the color menu, select another and repeat. You will end up with many colors with bold outlines, indicating that they are all selected. And if you continue drawing with multiple colors selected like this, eventually your brush will start to draw with another color than the one you selected, and your color swatched will mixed themselves up in such way that the first one (the one you are supposed to have used last) will not be the last one you used.

Note: Make sure not to detach the color menu from the side panel or you will have a hard time replicating it the bug.
Second note: I created a second account on Microsoft to test if the issues persists, and yes it does.

Thank you

Hi @ColonelCandy,

Thanks for sharing the details and video! We were able to reproduce the selection glitch where multiple swatches appear selected at the same time. However, in our testing, the color output remained correct—the brush did not start drawing with a different color than the one selected.

Could you please showcase a reproducible scenario in your video where the brush actually uses the wrong color? This will help us investigate further.

Looking forward to your response!

Best,
