Converting photos to pixel layers when a painting is started in PC and edited in Ipad

I loaded a photo in a brand new painting in PC. Then opened it in Ipad. The photo was already converted to pixel, which I had not asked.

As a pixel layer, I am not able to use it as artboard.

Any fix for this please?
