Hi @Jarush,

In Adobe Fresco, both the "Copy Layer" and "Duplicate Layer" options allow you to create a duplicate of an existing layer, but they have some differences in their functionality:

  • Copy Layer:

    • When you use the "Copy Layer" option, it creates a duplicate of the selected layer, but it doesn't automatically place the duplicated layer on top or below the original layer.
    • After using "Copy Layer," you need to manually select the destination layer and paste the copied content.
  • Duplicate Layer:

    • The "Duplicate Layer" option automatically creates a duplicate of the selected layer and places it immediately above the original layer.
    • This option is more convenient when you want the duplicated layer to be stacked directly on top of the original layer.

In summary, the main distinction is that "Copy Layer" allows you to copy a layer without automatically placing it, while "Duplicate Layer" not only duplicates the layer but also positions the duplicate above the original for quick and easy access. Choose the option that best fits your workflow and layer arrangement preferences in your artwork.

I hope this clarifies!

Best,
