Question

Do I have to wait indefinitely?

People who used to work through Adobe sketches will also lose their jobs through the missing brush.

Adobe seems to think of users (experts) as experiments while receiving money on a yearly basis. There is no better experimental group than this.
If you don't take this situation seriously now, many will turn their backs on you.

The beauty of the subscription model, we pay to play, and tell the developer what's missing or broken, so they can do updates more often than once a year.

Which single brush from Sketch is missing from Fresco? Is it available in Photoshop? Could you switch to that app instead?

Have a look at the Fresco UserVoice page where feature requests are made. There are a lot asking for Sketch Brushes. There are a lot of threads in this forum asking for the same thing. Many have been responded to by Adobe staff indicating that things are being added.

Other than that, it's unlikely anyone will give you a definitive date when something might be available.

Exactly.  unless it's release is pending, I highly doubt that they'd have a definitive date.  To the OP,  which brush are you missing that your job is depending on it? I know some Adobe Draw and Sketch users still lament the loss of access to those apps, but jeez, Adobe gave you a ton of time to prep for the transition.
