Drawing suddenly lagging

In the middle of a project my pixel brush is suddenly incredibly slow and not using pressure correctly. I turned off and restarted my iPad but that didn't fix it. It is the same on large or small files. It doesn't appear to be affecting the vector brush the same way. Have you had this happen or think of a way to fix this?
