Question

Export to Illustrator only works for some files

I am trying to figure out how to use Fresco the way I used to use Draw, since that is disapearing in a few days, but it seems like the vector functions in Fresco are not quite ready for professional use. I am trying to export my vector drawings to Illustrator desktop, which sometimes works fine and other times flattens my layers into one (despite me checking the "create layers from objects" button when it pops up in illustrator). The single layer in Illustrator is labeled as Background+Vector Layer+Vector Layer+Vector Layer etc.

Is this something Adobe is aware of and trying to fix? It kind of makes the vector aspect of the program unusable, as I have already had clients who need vector work have to settle for lower quality, rasterized versions of what I promised them (needless to say, I've lost those clients). Is there a reason this is happening or is it something being worked on? I'd love to figure it out before Draw officially disappears and I'm left without another option.

Keep in mind that the lines you draw using Vector in Fresco become shapes in Illustrator.

Fresco was originally intended as a painting app, it has had features added over time due to continuous requests to make it do the same as all the other apps available.

If you want true Vector on your iPad apps install Illustrator for iPad then the transition from iPad to Desktop should be a much cleaner file.
