I tried to download my file as PSD (so I can continue to work on it on another app) and l got this message that said something like my device (I have an ipad) doesn't support that.

Do you recall where you were trying to download it to?

I've just tried to copy to PS on the iPad and that worked fine.

I saved it to my files on the iPad and that worked fine.

When I tried to save to the Creative Cloud I also got an error.
