Question

Files created in Fresco on iPad display very differently in Photoshop on Mac (or in Preview app)

I've been using Adobe Fresco on an iPad mini 5 / iPad OS 15.7.1 to make astronomical sketches while viewing through a telescope. Attached are two files, sketches of M8 the lagoon nebula.

One file is a capture of my screen as I see it when working in Fresco, made with my phone of the iPad screen.

The second file is what the exported file looks likein Photoshop on my MacBook (or indeed when viewed with any other device, or uploaded to the internet)

I have tried viewing with other color profiles, tried adjusting levels in layers - nothing matches the sketch as it looked to me when I made it in the iPad.

Hello @neilf33035617,

I understand the frustration you're facing with the discrepancy in how your sketches are created in Adobe Fresco on your iPad display in Photoshop on your MacBook. This inconsistency could be attributed to various factors. To assist you better, would you mind sharing a couple of more details like:

  • In which format did you export the file, and what settings did you use?
  •  If you're comfortable with it, sharing the file could potentially help us investigate the issue more effectively. If yes, please go to the assets website https://assets.adobe.com/cloud-documents, select the file for sharing, and ensure that "anyone with the link can view" & "Save a copy" are selected. Then copy & paste the link here or share it with me via DM.

I will be looking forward to your response.

Best regards,

Anshul Saini
