Question

Files reset, posible to recover files that were recently synced on iPad?

Account went from paid to free to new paid and now my files on my iPad are all gone.

I was working on a project, it was syncing and saving. I was asked to resign in and all my projects from 2022 till now are gone and dosnt show up anywhere. I’m hoping there is a way to recover locally synced / recently synced files that do not show up in creative cloud. I have followed all the steps with Adobe support on twitter and they suggested could look on the back end for recently synced fresco files as I was literally working on it all week and thought my files were saved locally.

I think this is a cloud sync issue. I just lost hours of work that I was continuously saving on the ipad app and now the app won’t open and the file is not synced. Also trying to find a way to find the files locally. It seems Adobe is not much help.

     Hello @frolik_studio

That does seem troubling. Could you check if the files are available online (https://www.adobe.com/files) and download them from there to see if it helps?

Also, check if any pending OS/Fresco updates are available, install them, and share your observations.

Looking forward to hearing from you.

    Hi @Anubhav M

The file never synced to the CC app or online. I think there was one file that was created but it was just blank. None of my work had synced. Fresco was updated to the latest version, as was my ipad IOS.

Here is the rundown, in case it helps figure out the issue:

I was working in Fresco for about 4 or 5 hours on my ipad pro. I was on my home wifi, which is fast and stable. I was signed in to my Adobe account. I was saving very frequently. I noticed that it was automatically set to sync to the cloud, and there wasn’t an option to save the file locally.

I had been working for about 4 or 5 hours, saving frequently, when the app just suddenly froze - none of the buttons or menus worked. I checked my apple pencil on another app and it was still working and charged. My ipad was also charged or possibly even plugged in to a charger. I tried leaving the app for a while to see if it would recover, but it didn’t. I then force closed it, and after that Fresco wouldn’t open at all. The app window would start opening and then just bomb out. Over and over. I restarted my ipad - still the same issue. I then started panicking and looked for the file on the CC app and online, but it wasn’t there :(

I deleted the app off my ipad and reinstalled it, restarted my ipad again and it opened, but no cloud file, no local file. Just gone.

I redid the work the next day and it synced fine.

I also noticed that it would then sync quickly to the website, but it took a very long time to sync to the CC app.

Guessing when the account was reactivated was given a new user token nuking my work.

    any support would be appreciated…
