Fresco > Ai: Vector Layers losing Transparency settings

I am an Illustrator, working in Fresco and sending to Illustrator.  and I often draw shadowing using vector layers with the transparency turned down. Recently, when I upload my files to Ai, and then Copy my artwork into a new file (my print-ready Template file) all of my transparency line work turns to 100% opacity, black shape. Anyone know how to keep the transparency settings in your art layers when copy-pasting to a new Ai canvas?

    If you don't have to edit it afterwards I would suggested using Asset Export in Ai, then importing to the new file.
    Copy/Paste and using the library both seem to lose the transparency.
