Fresco crashes when filling a selected area and then when trying to zoom

Just today I have had Fresco crash a total of 6 or 7 times when trying to perform basic functions like filling an area selected with the lasso tool and then when I was trying to zoom with gestures. It is making it impossible to do any work. I was doing all of these actions only a few hours ago with no problems. I have not changed anything with my computer and as far as I know, there hasn't been a recent update of Fresco.

I tried the usual fixes for software glitches: restarted program, restarted computer, uninstalled and reinstalled the program. To no avail. Any suggestions about where to look for problems? It is a brand new Lenovo Thinkpad X1 Yoga Gen 5 with Windows 10
