Fresco Kills My Workflow
I currently use Procreate on my iPad Pro to produce artwork. In order to take my Procreate results to different applications on my iPad, I transfer them as Photoshop .PSD files. Occasionally, I receive .PSD files from clients that I must open and work from/on using non-Adobe apps on my iPad. The .PSD file type is something I've comfortably used in my iPad workflow for several years.
Upon installing Fresco on my iPad, the .PSD file type becomes unavailable for all of the other apps on my iPad. Apparently, the way it's coded tells iPadOS that the .PSD extension is its exclusive domain, and that no other software can open any document of that type. This greatly impacts my ability to get my work done.
When it comes to my workflow and the large number of iPadOS apps that support it vs Fresco and it's nifty animated paint effects, I choose my workflow. Until then, Fresco is simply not an option for my iPad experience.
