I'm creating digital oil paintings in Fresco. To print them off using a Shutterfly type canvas to hang in the house, what is the best setting? Is is 8 k at 300 ppi?

300ppi for sure. Dimensions the 8k pixel setting is around 70cm (27inch) so if the prints are going to be a lot smaller than that then you don't necessarily benefit from creating such a large canvas. If the prints will be bigger then definitely go as big as the canvas will allow.

I do have a feeling that the larger the canvas the more restrictions there are on layer numbers though so consider that too. Unless I'm mixing up my apps and Fresco doesn't have a problem here.
