Has anyone noticed the Marker brushes blend mode?

I have been playing around with fresco and noticed that the preinstalled marker brushes have a unique mode called blend. I am guessing it's trying to mick the behavior of actual alcohol markers, it would interesting to be able to apply that blend mode to my custom marker brushes. I use the multiply mode but run into the problem that after a couple of strokes the color goes to dark.
