How do I centre my text on fresco?

I was curious if there is a actual way to centre text to background on fresco

There are alignment options within the Layer properties. Though they don't seem to work as I expected.
The alignment tools do move the text around, but definitely don't centre it to the background. As there are no other alignment tools available I would say the only option you have right now is to work it out visually.

I would suggest going over to the Fresco UserVoice page and adding a request for more features on the text tool.
