Is this the most frustrating app in the Adobe Suite?

Straight lines? No help for that.
Wanna use Shift/etc to control the shape you're adding? This isn't CS6 sir.

I really want to like this app, to play with it the way I can with photoshop but it is the least intuitive, the least useful and a reminder that I'm paying $10 a month for features that I can't use in commercial projects like generative fill.

Similarly, draw a rough shape, circle or square etc, and hold your pen to the canvas and the shape will become more shape. There are also shape tools, found by long-pressing the Ruler on the bottom right-hand side.

Fresco doesn't have generative AI capabilities, so you would need Photoshop for that anyway.

I would have to agree that it is the most frustrating app. When it was first released it was a freeform drawing/painting app. Since having to implement features from all the other Adobe apps to keep users happy it has lost its purpose!

If you want a straight line just draw the line and hold the pencil the line will then straighten and if you stay holding the pencil down you can move your line around.
