Question

lost all local fresco files when a new business licence was applied

I recently updated my adobe fresco app on the ipad.

I then realized I had still been working under the old login/business account. To prevent cloud migration issues, I stored everything local on the ipad (cloud is wiped by my enterprise).

In the meanwhile there has been a new enterprise agreement. Not realizing this will affect locally stored data, I updated the app. Since then, I can only access the new account. Of course, without local data.

My admin has been able to temporarily switch my licence back to the old account. However, Fresco has identified this as a “new” account and the locally stored data is not visible.

There is nothing in assets, there is nothing locally in the ipad/files/fresco data (except my personal account data)

Any chance I can retrieve the data?

Yes. The files are most likely associated with my old business profile. The personal profile is OK (data is there locally).

My admin tried to revive the old profile by giving this profile the rights again. Today I can login again, but I believe Fresco just sees it as a new profile.

I am running IPadOs 26.5.2. That updated last night overnight automatically. I dont know what it was before. (the problem was there before).

I updated fresco manually from the AppStore, when trying to update all my apps in one go. It is now version 7.4.2

thanks for helping!!

Hi @marjolein_0044,

I'm really sorry to hear about your experience. I understand how frustrating it must be to lose access to your Fresco files, especially after intentionally storing them locally.

Based on the information you've shared, I'd recommend first checking whether the files are associated with a different Adobe profile (Personal vs. Business) by signing in and checking both profiles. If the files were linked to your previous Business profile, please ask your Adobe administrator to check whether the assets can be reclaimed or transferred. You can find more information here: https://helpx.adobe.com/enterprise/using/asset-reclamation.html.

In parallel, I'm checking this scenario with our product team to see if there are any additional recovery options or recommendations. I'll keep you posted as soon as I have an update. In the meantime, could you please share the version of Adobe Fresco you're using, your iPadOS version, and let us know whether the Fresco update was installed manually from the App Store or deployed by your organization's IT/MDM?

Thanks for your patience.
