Mixer brushes stopped working on iPad Pro

Mixer brushes had been working on my ipad Pro, now they don't.  I've gone through all the various settings I can find, and forum posts, and can't figure out what's happened.  Currently there is NO mixing at all when using any mixing brush.  Running Fresco 5.2.0 on an iPad Pro iPadOS 17.2.
