Question

Motion layers on iPad become Photoshop layers on PC

Hi.

I'm having an issue where I create an animation in Adobe Fresco on the iPad, but when I go to my computer to export my animation sequence, all my motion layers turn into Photoshop layers and I lose all of my animation frames.  Is there something I could do to prevent this from happening?

Thank you.

Hi @juliam56342833,

I appreciate you reaching out about the issue you're facing with Adobe Fresco. I'm sorry to hear about the unexpected behavior during the export process.

To better understand and address the problem, would you mind sharing some additional details like:

  • Have you opened the file in Photoshop on your computer? Sometimes, if you open a Fresco file in Photoshop, it may interpret the motion layers differently, potentially causing the issue you described.

  • File Submission for Investigation: If you haven't opened the file in Photoshop and are still experiencing the problem, could you please share the affected file with us? This will allow us to perform a more in-depth investigation into the issue.

To share the file, please follow these steps:

  • Ensure "Anyone with the link can view" & "Save a copy is selected."

  • Copy the file link and share it here or via DM with me.

Additionally, let us know if you've noticed any specific steps or patterns that consistently lead to this problem. Any additional information you can provide will be helpful in diagnosing and resolving the issue.

Thank you for your cooperation, and we're committed to helping you find a solution.

Best regards,

Anshul Saini
