No longer able to move image off canvas

The newest version of fresco is now frustrating me and messing up my work flow. 
I can no longer make an image in photoshop to then open in fresco and move the image off canvas to draw from. anytime I move a photoshop image off canvas it crops it and deletes it
I would have to keep the image on the canvas, shrinking it to keep it visible. While drawing. It's very frustrating. Why change this great feature?!?

Thanks for sharing this! I just tested this on my end by placing an image outside the canvas, then saving, closing, and reopening the file, and the image was still there, not cropped or deleted.

 

To help us investigate further, could you please:

  • Share a screen recording showing what’s happening on your device?

  • Provide a sample PSD file where this issue occurs?

  • Confirm your Fresco version and OS version?

That will help us understand if this is a bug, device-specific behavior, or something else. Appreciate your patience as we look into this!

For some background.
I made this image with collagigin various photos together to make a
reference to draw from.
I initially tried to move the image off canvas with a layered version. It
didn't work. so I made a flattened jpg. And this is what happened. Oddly,
when I go to move it off cnavas it says it needs to flatten it... not sure
why. Anyways I show how when it is moved off canvas it says it will crop
it, and that when I go to transform the image it says it is empty.
