simple taper brush velocity depending

Hello community, I have a question to the new vector brush (simple taper brush velocity depending) where the line and especially beginning and end are "velocity-depending". I do not really see the difference to the simple taper (number two in the list), where you can also adjust the velocity dependency... Can anyone help me out here?
