The insert image feature icon shows a camera. How can I use it?

I'm using Fresco 6.1 on my iPad and I want to use the insert image camera feature. The icon takes me to Open the Camera app, but just to a black camera screen and no photo functions are available to me. What am I doing wrong? I would appreciate any ideas.

I discovered the solution myself by digging into the Fresco settings and
turning on ‘camera’ that solved it. Thank you anyway for your prompt
response.
