Question

Timelapse Export Crashing App

I’m using an iPad Pro 4th Gen and the Timelapse Export is causing the app to crash 100% of the time. It doesn’t change anything when I try and switch the resolution export settings, duplicate file, try any file at all (even a new one for tests sake), I’ve tried restarting etc - been at this for hours now.

For context, it was working, but doing that thing where it exports the files in a tiny box (formatting issues, but I could fix that video myself in an editor) so I update Fresco to the latest version to fix this but now it just crashes my app.

Also I have more than enough storage (over 100gb) and I have tried exporting to my google drive, files, anywhere else but the second I hit export the app just crashes.

Please help, I really need those exports - workarounds are welcome if fixes are not possible!

Thank you!

    Hi @campbellwool,

Sorry for the experience, and thanks for reaching out with all the detailed information.

Could you please try signing out of the Fresco app completely, restart the iPad, then sign back in and check whether the timelapse export still crashes the app?

Also, could you please try creating a brand-new Fresco document, import or copy your artwork into it, and then attempt the timelapse export from that new file to see if the behavior changes?

    Looking forward to your update.

    Hi, thank you.

I just tried logging out, restarting and logging back in but no luck. I also tried moving the files over but that created a document where the timelapse read as only a few seconds so it was too short to export.

I tried another project that it successfully let me export before updating and found it would crash if I tried to edit the timelapse duration, and it would not work if I saved it to the iPad gallery, but it would let me export the entire timelapse length to my google drive. Still nothing working for anything else.
