Question

Unable to fill inside the top layer from the bottom layer in Fresco

Hi,

I have a vector layer with some drawing, and I want to create a bottom layer so that I can fill inside the top layer itself. However, the fill tool fills the entire screen from the bottom layer, which I do not want at all. How can I only fill inside the drawing from the top layer?

You have to define the top layer as the reference layer. Click on the top layer, go to the three dot menu, and choose "set as reference".

Then go back to the bottom layer and use the fill tool. You may have to adjust the color margin slider to avoid leaving a tiny gap (see https://community.adobe.com/t5/fresco-discussions/paint-bucket-fill-leaving-a-gap-how-to-fix-this/m-p/11479260).
