Question

Using Fresco makes the ipad really hot after a short while

I´ would love to make Fresco my default painting and drawing app as it´s really quick to change back and forth from my desktop to my ipad but, I´ve noticed the app requires a lot of processing power although I have the 2022 M2 Ipad pro. Is there a way to fix this or do I have to wait till Adobe optimized the app further?

I also have this situation.
My solution is to "turn off Wi-Fi."
I guess the reason might be automatic cloud syncing of files or brushes.

Hello @FelipeJaramillo,

Sorry to hear about this experience. Would you mind trying to update the Fresco application and the OS to the latest version and checking if they help?

If not, kindly share more details, like the exact version of the iPadOS / Fresco installed and details about your workflow, including a screen recording when you encounter this problem.

Looking forward to hearing from you.

Thanks,

Anubhav

I have the app in its latest version as well as the os to 17.0.3. A screen recording wont help as the app doesnt crash, it just takes so much processing power that the ipad gets really hot making it uncomfortable to touch the screen to paint.

Hello @FelipeJaramillo,

Thanks for sharing the details. Would you mind confirming if this happens when doing something particular in Fresco or just randomly? Explain in as much detail as possible. Also, kindly confirm the iPad model and the version of Fresco installed so we can investigate this further.

We appreciate your time and efforts in helping us resolve this problem.

Thanks,

Anubhav
