Can I can an email or an alert when ruler/ straight line, and shape tools get added to Fresco? When that happens I will switch from Draw.
Is there anyway to get fresco updates, other than this community thread. ?

We don't have an email notification system but we do try to post here when features are added to Fresco that people have been waiting for.
You can also, if you want, keep an eye on https://adobefresco.uservoice.com/ because the product team is going to start posting there about what features will make it into the app first. Exact dates will never be given but you will be able to get a sense of things that will come before others.
I can say this... A straight edge is coming very soon.
