When merging two vector layers it turns into a pixel layer

I cannot figure out why it is doing this. Neither layer uses blend mode, or opacity, or has any transparency. And yet it can't help but turn into a pixel layer when merging two vectors. This only happens on one of my documents.

Ever since the last update, this has been happening to me too.

I draw in vector and merge them to trim them. It's the reason they use fresco over procreate.

Please fix this Adobe

If merging two vector layers in Adobe Fresco turns them into a pixel layer, especially in just one document, it is usually because that file has hidden pixel elements, effects, or has become too complex. Try copying the vector layers into a new document and merge there or export and re-import them as SVG files. Also check for any hidden pixel layers or effects that might cause Fresco to rasterize during the merge.

How can I find hidden effects? Directly looking at all the layers there was no evidence of pixel layers, transparency, or affects. The layers are both labeled as vector, and can't be too complex, because it does this with very simple layers as well. It's only been doing this with a select few layers, but without fail any combination will turn them into a pixel layer.

It will even convert them when the layers are empty. So it has nothing to do with anything being drawn.
