Why is Fresco to Illustrator Still So Bad?

I'm not the first to post this, but it's really aggravating that basic tasks in Fresco like "Open a Copy ---> Illustrator Desktop" either takes forever or doesn't work at all. And if you alter any of the layer adjustments like blend mode, you can't export it with all of its layers and instead it's all one one layer when it finally opens in Illustrator. 

This workflow issue has not worked well for years, going back to Adobe Sketch ---> Illustrator. 

Maybe spend fewer resources on garbage AI products and make simple things like this work efficiently?

And before anyone tells me to export it as a PSD or PNG and then open in Illustrator that is extremely dumb and takes away the layers and often requires you to Image Trace something you drew in Fresco.
