1/16" dimensions with new dimensioning tool

How do I dimension objects that are 1/16"? I only see the ¼" option. Am I missing something?

    Yeah, it's still a pretty useless feature for American units, and not even particularly good at decimals either... The decimal precision is also buggy, so for example, if you select "0.000" you'll still regularly get dimensions clipped at 2 decimals, which isn't accurate enough for many situations (ex: no way to decimalize standard ruler increments like 1/8", as it'll still clip to 0.12" instead of 0.125").  Half-baked tool at the moment.

    I do not think you are missing anything. As a new feature, there are a few other things needing updates. Best you can do is switch to 3 decimals, but sadly is returning only 2 decimals for me.

     

    You can always manually edit the values by doing an object >> Expand Appearance until this is addressed

     

     

     

    They should probably make the default font something in a clean sans serif, and that has opentype fractions, along with an industry-standard color like magenta or cyan for dimensions. The Adobe prerelease would benefit with more people who work fulltime in the industry using Adobe products doing final production work over 8 hours a day.  

     

    Feet and inch marks should be in italics, but most regular cuts of fonts do not have one for that. I left my screenshot as is, to show another common issue.

          You can only select what is in the menu. I think there is a feature request for more precision on https://illustrator.uservoice.com You could vote for it.
