Hi.. I’ve saved a bunch of AI docs in my Online files… however, I seem to be competely overlooking the ability to search files by name… where do I locate such a search capability?

Hi all,I’m having ongoing issues with Illustrator’s Share for Review links and I’m wondering if anyone else is seeing the same behaviour.What happens: I create a new file, then go to Share for Review and generate a link. Illustrator keeps pulling through filenames from previous jobs, even when I’m in a brand new file. To fix it, I end up removing the review link, creating a new one, or sometimes starting a completely new file from scratch. I send the review link to the client, but when they open it, it sometimes shows a completely different review link, like it has connected to another project. Comments then do not always appear properly inside Illustrator, so I have to review feedback in the web browser instead. The weird part:It feels like Illustrator is caching old Share for Review data and mixing it across multiple projects. It even pulls through project names from 3 or 4 jobs ago.What I’ve tried: Closing and reopening Illustrator Resetting and restarting Running update

This is getting ridiculous. It has gotten worse with every update. From version 30.1 it has constantly corrupted the save preview with any placed images. Even placing photoshop files does not work. The placed image will either be completely out of place or just will not show up in the preview unless you embed the image. Place the .AI file in Indesign? Nope, the image isn't there. You have to manually embed it every time which, besides being an annoying extra step, it just bloats the file size. I am also getting “there is not enough memory” errors when placing small photoshop files. I have reset the Illustrator preferences and that did not help. Please stop adding all kinds of useless features and get this program stabilized and reliable again.

If i crop again right side that white line appear on, It appear on left side. And crop Left side, then it appears on other side again. this event happen over 8times....I keep cropping cropping croppping.....plz help me

Hello fellow creatives!I’ve used Vimeo so far to upload a video there, and then I’d embed it in my Behance projects. It worked pretty good so far. However, Vimeo has recently started requesting ID verification and they won’t let me even log into my account without completing it. Since I don’t want to hand over my ID (we all know how many data breaches happen every year), I wanted to ask if there’s a free alternative for Vimeo?Basically all I need to do is to upload a video there and play it in my Behance projects. My videos are usually motion graphics (10-60 seconds long).Thank you!

Whenever I open a .ai file I get this “Text Import Options” window. I click Okay or Cancel and either it shows me a message that it failed to save or reappears and it disappears after three times or so of me closing it. I can still open my files and they seem to be working correctly but this window just keep showing and I’m not sure what’s the issue.I recently had to reinstall Illustrator and after that it started happening. It doesn’t matter if the file is saved in Dropbox or locally, it appears regardless. Again, there seems to be no issue with the files since I can work on them normally after closing the Text Import Options window but it’s annoying to keep having to do it every time

Recently, when I go to save a new file and write the file name the entire text will disappear after I enter a space into the file name. For example: if I want to write “3.27.2026_file name here” everything will disappear once I hit space after “file”. I can get around this by not entering any spaces, but it’s not an ideal workaround and more importantly just doesn’t seem to make any sense as to why it started happening. Can confirm that it happens on multiple Adobe programs; both Illustrator and Indesign have this issue when I go to save a new file. It seems to have started after a recent Mac update, but I only experience this issue when saving in Adobe programs.

Across our studio we are getting pop-ups each time we launch a Creative Cloud application asking each user to “Allow”, for the message:"Adobe Illustrator 2026.app" would like to access data from other apps. This is typically something we would only expect once during initial installation or a major update. This is now happening every time the app is launched. (See attached image). We’re experiencing this on all recent versions of Mac OS up to 26.4. On a variety of machines (Mac Book Pro, Mac Studios, all Apple Silicon), and it has only just starting in the past couple of weeks.Is anyone else experiencing this, and have you found a work around?  

Not sure how widespread this issue is, but I’ve been experiencing it for over a year since an update.Example: I have a group with many path layers. I move the group using the Selection Tool, then hit Cmd+Z to undo. Some paths move back, but others don’t. After that, undo and redo no longer fix it, since Illustrator treats the broken state as the latest version.At that point, I’m stuck manually repositioning objects, which can be tedious or sometimes impossible. It happens about 7-8 times a month, so not very frequent, but it can bring steady progress to a screeching halt and be very frustrating. Anyone else experience this issue? 

Hello everyone, I use the CC library frequently, but it's really frustrating that white graphics and logos appear as white backgrounds in the preview. Even though the graphics and logos have a transparent background, they appear as solid white backgrounds instead of the grayscale separation they used to have. This is why I'm having a hard time finding what I'm looking for. I've seen threads about this, but most of them are from a few years ago, and I've read someone on the Adobe team will address this issue. However, the problem persists. How can I fix this?

Hello everyone, We've been experiencing the following two problems with Adobe Illustrator for some time now. After saving and reopening the document, some of the color values have changed in isolated areas. This isn't just 1-2% in black, but sometimes 10-15% in all colors (C, M, Y, K). Even after adjusting the colors in the document again, this problem keeps recurring after saving, closing and reopening the same document.When we create transparency masks for certain jobs and save and reopen the file, they are completely destroyed (i.e., text converted to paths, other vector graphics, or even linked graphics are deleted from the mask, and, for example, only a circle is inserted) or the mask is moved to a completely different position. Dear all,I have already mentioned this in other posts around but since I managed to get a little deeper I wanted to give this a separate thread.Every time I launch Illustrator 30.x (that is, ever since v 30 was released), macOS Tahoe shows me the following alert (Illustrator would like to access data from other apps):If I press “Do now allow” (left button), then the home page of Illustrator is blank and the app will not work properly. No problem, though, I relaunch Illustrator and press “Allow”, thinking this would be it.In macOS, apps that asks for this specific permission are listed in System Settings > Privacy & Security > Automation, as shown here:As you can see, Acrobat got correctly added the first time it asked me to access data while, regardless of how many times I try, Illustrator doesn’t get added. Unfortunately, there is no +/- button to manually add an app to this list. Even assuming this would be a bug in macOS, it would be for Illustrator to solve this with Appl

I am working in Illustrator 2026 and I work on different computers. The issue is, that I always loose my settings (e.g. defined color fields / color settings / general illustrator workspace settings / ...). Unfortunately I havent found a simple solution how to synchronize these settings automatically.Hard to belive but is there really no simple solution to automatically synchronize the settings across multiple workstations? Is it important that I use the very same Illustrator version on every computer? strange as well: Do I really need to re-install Illustrator in order to change language settings? Constant crashing and exceptionally slow saves (apparently I should off PDF preview, but that was not an issue in previous versions) on a Mac in Illustrator 26.A support agent deleted all my preferences and reinstalled illustrator, but issue continued. Installed latest MacOS (26.3.1) but slow saves continue. It’s been saving the entire time I’ve been writing this post. 

Another day, another Illustrator surprise!Editing production vector art, copying that art into another AI file, vector object will not center to artboard, instead, moves in a direction by what looks like smaller and smaller increments. Vertical center moves to the top of the artboard (only one artboard in the newly-created file) and proceeds to move incrementally each time center is clicked. It’s one vector object, not grouped, not a compund path.Is it the file? No. More than one file exhibits this behaviour, and they’re known-good files. When did this start? Last update, looks like. Can I make a video of the problem? No - read the words, that’s what word are for. Does Safe Mode eliminate the problem? No. Does uninstalling and re-installing solve the problem? No. What version? I just installed Illustrator on a fresh Windows 11 setup. All my drivers are up to date. Despite having an RTX 4060 Ti (16GB VRAM) and 64GB RAM, the performance is abysmal. Even on a blank A4 document, the screen freezes every second while scrolling. It's a clean install with no custom fonts or heavy background apps running.If I'm experiencing these issues on a system like this, what kind of setup am I even supposed to have? Furthermore, Adobe Illustrator correctly recognizes my graphics card in the performance settings, yet the lag persists. The software is performing like garbage on a rig that should easily handle it.

Updated to 2026 version, now when I go to open a file or go to ‘Your Files’ on the main open screen the files are sorted by Date Modified. When I change it to sort by name it doesn’t remember this the next time I open illustrator. It is VERY frustrating, as I name my folders with numbers so they are in a particular order and it’s in a completely random order every time I open it. This is also the case with Photoshop. How do I make it remember my preference?

Dear allI will have numerous graphical illustrations (around 500 diagrams/illustrations) printed on uncoated paper using the Indigo printing process. Since the entire print job is very expensive and complex, I would like to ask you for urgently needed advice on how to correctly set my color settings. I am working in CMYK and will print the illustrations in Switzerland / Europe. Is there a good tutorial / article that differences in the various color settings like “Adobe Illustrator 6.0 Emulate” / “CMYK Coated FOGRA 39 / Europe General Purpose 3 / etc.?  What happens if I change this color settings in a while? Do my colors get distorted by changing the color settings or how does it affect my illustrations? I am planning to work with Adobe Illustrator 6.0 Emulate. Can you recommend this setting? Can you please explain what this profile does compared to the other color profiles? Why is it that important to choose the right settings right from the start? Which CMYK color values should be u

I was working on a project in Illustrator a few hours ago, had gone out of the window for a second and when I entered the app again (literally seconds later) everything was gone. I updated Illustrator. I tried searching in my Mac Finder for Illustrator Cache and there are no files for it at all. After updating, it showed some of my previous projects, but not the one that I’ve been working on. It shows in the thumbnail all my artboards for that project, but it only opens one of the files I had previously downloaded on my Mac. I have tied ten times to connect to Adobe Support and after ten minutes of waiting for the chatbot to connect me, it just closes the window and asks me to rate the conversation (that I never had!!!) I’m incredibly frustrated. I’m a wedding invitation designer and I’ve been working on this suite for two weeks! Everything had been saved in Creative Cloud but now I can’t even get it to pull up on there. Surely all of this is SOMEWHERE?!?! Please help :( 

Hi, I have a problem opening an .ai file I have in the cloud. Whenever I try to open it, the progress bar fills up but the file never opens, and I have to force quit Illustrator.I tried syncing it to the cloud, signing out and signing back in, getting it from the web, deleting and recovering it, duplicating it, and sending the link to a friend. Nothing worked for me. Please help fix this issue :(
