2 em space after bullet

Hi,

I'm working in a file where there are government regulations to follow, which dictate that that

The end of one bulleted statement is separated from the beginning of the next bulleted statement by at least two square "ems" i.e., two squares the size of the letter "M"

Is there a way to set up a tab so it automatically does that for all tabs I make?

Thanks!

I'm using CC 2015, but shouldn't that feature be on there as well? Thanks!

    No.

A free floating tab which size depends on the text size? No.

But Illustrator CC 2017 has Em spaces available from the Type menu or via shortcuts. Just type two of them.

Thanks. That's great to know. Forgot about that. For some reason my Insert Special Character option is missing from the type dropdown

    Why is that happening?

Are you sure that you have Illustrator 2017 CC open, as your screenshot looks like a previous version.
