3D and Materials - Extrude & Bevel EPS Issue

So I have created a Logo in Illustrator using the 3D and Materials - Extrude & Bevel panel. The Classic 3D is not able to create the effect the way I want.

I am unable to get it to save as EPS without a white background around the 3D section of my logo.

I am unsure why the 3D effect creates a background but only when you use the EPS file, its not on PNG or in the file in Illustrator app. But when i use it on any background it has a white background.

I know EPS files do support transparent backgrounds because all of my other EPS files are transparent.

Any help on getting rid of the background and saving as EPS still would be appreciated.

It did help yes but i also had to rasterize the object to get rid of the white background issue.

The rendering helps turn it into an object instead of a "path".

Okay well i managed to figure out this issue, I had to render the object in the 3D & Material Panel and then rasterize the object to be transparent.

Glad to hear that you find solution. Just interesting to know what happened when you render as vector? Does it help?
