3D Extrude & Bevel not working properly

Trying to make some vintage Extrude & Bevel shapes. Simple square. My settings are working properly. Anyone have any ideas? I've been working with some tutorials and none of my shapes look like what the tutorials show they should look like, even newer version tutorials.

Working on a work computer, so IT is pretty on top of the updates or has it all set to auto update.

The attached photo is the very first movement my shape makes the second I click to Extrude & Bevel. This isn't looking right.

Anyone have ideas on how to fix this or what's going on?

Is this something like you are trying to do?

Similar. Thanks SJRiegel.

I'm good now.

Problem appeared to be isolated to working from a file created in last year's version of cc.

How is this supposed to look like?

The end result will be similar to this, but square.

As you can see from my initial photo, the shape doesn't even resemble the original extrude and bevel formatting from the 3D pallet.

Are you referring to the fact that it's not a cube? You might want to increase the "Extrude depth" and you might want to red the documenttion: https://helpx.adobe.com/illustrator/using/creating-3d-objects.html
