3D extrusion has missing sides
I'm using Adobe CS5 Illustrator on a Windows 7 Professional 64 bit PC with 32 Gig Ram. I'm attemping to create some 3D text but having major issues. What you see below are two layers. The front gradient layer of text is seperate, while the 3D extruded text is another underneath.
When I select Effect > 3D > Extrude and Bevel, I'll get the normal dialog box as seem in the below screen shot. I make my selections for how much angle, depth, and prospective and hit preview. Only problem is some of the extruded faces are missing. As in my example, the bottom part of the Y in "PLAY" is missing.
I done a search on this forum and found the below thread, which suggested on making slight tweaks to the degree settings, but with me I had no luck.

When adjusting the cube to the various degrees and angles the problem goes away, but when I set it back to 0* 0* 0*, so the angle matches the front layer, the missing pieces issue comes back again.
Whether I copy that one layer or everything from illustrator into photoshop, the problem also comes across into this program as well.
Any help with this issue please would be much appreciated. ![]()
