3D revolve in illustrator

Hi, i am trying to create a 3D revolve effect on a symbol using the 3D revolve function but their is a white circle in the middle while in the map art functions, how do i get rid of the circle because it is

affecting the final outcome. From the image bellow you can see the white circle cutting through the stripes. how do i get rid of it?
