3D spaces similar to After Effects?

Is there a way I can work in a 3D space similar to After Effects? E.g. where I can move objects closer / further away?

 

Or would I just need to add 3D effects to each object and tweak each one individually?

No options like After Effects, you need to tweek each one individually, but you can rotate multiple 3D objects together with the new 3D effect.

You can add objects to the perspective grid with the perspective selection tool and move them around a plane. You might not find it as flexible as a true 3D space though.
