Action that triggers a 3rd party plugin

I would like to automate a process that includes a imposition plugin. When I record an action with this step it only cut and pasted into a new document. It doesn’t record the appropriate template and setting indicated by the plugin. Is there anything I can do to trigger this. It is under my adobe extensions. Any help much appreciated.

Whatever that plugin may be, if it is not actionable by the core programme, you have no chance.

About what plugin are you talking? Which version of Illustrator are you using?

Lastest version of illustrator cc. The plugin is imposition plus, part of a package called powerscript3.5 from o2creative.

If that plugin and its commands are not recognised by the Actions palette, then you are just out of luck.

There are even a lot of native Illustrator commands that cannot be recorded at all ...
