ACTIVATION ISSUES ON NEW COMPUTER

Question

HI, I own Adobe Premium suite 5( I know, do't laugh, can't afford anything else.) It was activated on 2 compiuters. One of the computers died. My new computer I tried to intsall the suite however it keeps saying already reached activation limit. How can I get that activation whihc is on the dead computer to release so I can put it on my new computer?

The latest I have seen about this issue is the following answer by @ProDesignTools  https://community.adobe.com/t5/adobe-community-experts-discussions/just-to-be-certain-i-m-absolutely-clear-about-adobe-support-policy/m-p/10827644#M24649 I have no clue whether the chat team or anyone else can still help. Hate to be the bearer of bad news, but the reps at Adobe Customer Care no longer have the ability to reset activation counts (as they used to do) or otherwise provide any support for Creative Suite products. There is no way for a customer to reset an activation remotely or online either. So unfortunately I'm sorry to say but there is no longer a path forward of which I am aware for when a legacy product runs out of activations and cannot be manually deactivated by a customer. @JMYTEES that's going to be a mondo problem. With CS5 (and other non-subscription Adobe products), the license is tied to the specific computer installation. To move it to a new computer, you must "deactivate" it from the old one first (Help > Deactivate within any CS5 application). This sends a signal to Adobe's servers, freeing up that activation slot. When a computer dies, you can't open the software and manually deactivate it. This means the activation slot is still "locked" to that dead machine on Adobe's records. For very old versions (like CS2, 3, 4), Adobe actually retired the activation servers entirely, making activation impossible. While CS5 servers might still be technically running for the purpose of initial activation, getting a "reset" for a dead computer is a different matter. Adobe officially ended support for CS5 a long time ago (January 31, 2014)—I hate to be the bearer of bad news but, you might be out of luck and need to upgrade to Creative Cloud.
