Hi all,

This morning I was trying to add a colorgroup to Library in Illustrator but I found out

I can't do this in illustator. I tried to add my ASE. colorgroup with a script in ChatGPT but this also doesn't work.

Does anyone know how i can add a full colorgroup (more than 5 swatches) into Libraries

so I can use this for various projects?

Stefanie,

There is a limit; a swatch group can only contain a maximum of 5 colors.

You can use this as a (more reliable) workaround:

You can create multiple rectangles filled with different spot/global/gradients/pattern and drag them together into a CC library to simulate a library.

The easiest way to add them to a new document is to hold down the Alt key when you drag them from the library and place them in a new document. The swatches are automatically added to your swatches panel.

You can hit escape before you click to place the object(s) or delete the dragged library items because the swatches are now part of the document.
