Add JPEG XL (JXL) Import & Export Support in Illustrator

I’d like to request JPEG XL (JXL) support in Adobe Illustrator, including both importing and exporting the format.

JXL offers better compression, higher quality, lossless options, HDR support, and is designed as a modern replacement for JPEG. Adding JXL support would help Illustrator stay compatible with current image standards and improve workflows that need high‑quality, efficient raster assets.
 

Requested features:

• Import JXL files

• Export JXL with quality settings

• Support both lossy & lossless modes
